Born Tonight is a synergy of sin and grief. It’s a confluence of polluted streams. Subsisting on a distant dream, Born Tonight persists amidst endless stresses.
From the barren culture of an unforgiving city, their music blasts one of the most profound and subtle sounds around. It is dirty yet clean, brutal yet beautiful, sophisticated yet mighty, gorgeous and vicious-- an army to the ears. Decades of broken gear, shredded fingers and bleeding throats set the stage for the rescue and resuscitation of the exhausted and bleak music scene. Born Tonight is the oasis from which the art starved and the culturally parched have been dying to drink.
It is the synthesis of three experienced Chico musicians allied with a mouthpiece from Phoenix who all came together in San Diego to animate this air: Beau Murray puts his sticks through skins and slams his cymbals to shambles. Dan Drake breaks his bass and sings decay. Jai Luna stretches and strangles sick strings. Jay Edwards makes his vocal chords soar and roar.
Each member has dedicated their life to the propagation of this project, and their seriousness is reflected not only in the passion of the tracks, but also in the professionalism of their business mien, as well as the destitution endured during the lifestyle sacrifice of being a modern musician.
